ANNUAL DAY IN THE PARK
Montvale Recreation Dept. will be hosting Montvale’s Day in the Park once again. A generous donation of $5,000 has enabled us to begin preparation for our event. This year’s event will bring the community back to a “simpler” time with “live” music, cooking contests, and family type races. The annual Town Celebration will be held on Saturday June 16, 2012. While we are far short of being able to hold this event with fireworks, we would love to be able to offer them for the residents. While businesses are being contacted to help raise funding for this event, as they have for the past several years, there is a good chance that corporate donations alone will not be enough to have these fireworks.
The Recreation committee, while sensitive to the economic climate, is reaching out to the community for help. We are hoping to gather enough support through monetary donations to hold a fireworks event such as the one's we've grown accustomed. We believe anything less than our "typical" fireworks show would be disappointing. As you can imagine, we are under a great time restraint to pull this off.
If you would like to contribute to Day in the Park, we ask that you bring your donation (in the form of a check) to Borough Hall at 12 Mercedes Dr. at the 2nd floor window. Donations may also be mailed to: Borough Hall, c/o Recreation Department, 12 Mercedes Dr., Montvale, NJ 07645. Please make donations payable to: Borough of Montvale - Celebration Fund.
All funds collected will go directly to Day in the Park and will enable the REC department to continue providing our community with a wonderful event and possibly a fireworks display. If the donations collected do not reach the necessary amount to have a fireworks show this year, the money will be used to add attractions to the day. If you have any questions regarding this event, you may contact

Any and all donations made are appreciated.
