Welcome to our 2008 summer swimming season! I'm happy to tell you all that we (unlike gas and food!) will hold our membership prices to the rates we have charged for the prior two seasons. This season we will be participating with the town of Montvale and installing an early warning system for lightning. The system will include installing a horn and siren on the roof of the club. We will also continue upgrading our very old electrical system in our office and locker rooms. We will of course replace chairs and umbrellas as they are needed and continue to keep our grounds in pristine condition.

Chris Moran will be the club's manager for the 2008 season; this will be Chris's 9th season with us. Steve Wren will again be Chris' first assistant manager and Joe Avento will join them once again as 2nd assistant. Dawn Lindsey will not be returning as our swim team coach for the 2008 season, as she and her husband are expecting a new addition. We will be adding Ellen Davies as a board representative this year. She will have full responsibility for directing administrative tasks for the swim team and reporting to the board. Meanwhile Chris Moran is in the process of interviewing individuals to replace Dawn. We will miss Dawn and all the experience and enjoyment that she brought to the swim team during the last 4 seasons. Justine Kojaki, Jim Huddleston and Roy Moose have again agreed to volunteer their time as dive team coaches. We encourage all the parents of swim and dive team members to volunteer their time to these two programs.

In 2006 we altered the annual membership process by requiring all members to take photo IDs. This is our 3rd season We will continue to use the same process this year. That process will allow for easier sign up for the swim season going forward. We will require one member of the family to bring the photo IDs of all family members to the swim club in May (dates and times enclosed in this mailing) so that we can add a 2008 sticker to each ID. At that time you will be required to bring a check for annual dues, which will be the same as 2006, we have included the rate table below.

If it is your intention to resign your membership, please notify us by mailing your singed Bond in as soon as possible. Finally, on the day you come to the club to register for the 2007 you will receive copy of your annual invoice.

After a busy 2007 season on the capital improvement front we will be slowing down a bit in 2008. We will be upgrading our speaker system so that announcements made by the managers and guards can be heard by all, we also be making some structural improvements to our building and of course adding chairs and umbrellas as needed.

This year we will once again require members to purchase guest passes during the season. Our office managers will sell individual as well as books of guest passes for the 2008 season. These passes will not expire and can be used next year if you have any remaining at the end of the season. The price of bringing guests to the pool will be the same as last season; Weekday $5 for adults and children, Weekends and Holidays $10 for adults and $5 for children. Books will be sold in increments of $25 & $50; giving the member a $5 & $10 additional guest pass value when a book is purchased. Individual tickets will also be sold again this year and as a reminder the passes you have left over from the 2006 season will not expire and are good for the 2007 season. Books will also be sold at the May sign ups for a significant discount.

Finally, the designated smoking area will once again be located to the left of the diving boards in the upper left seating area of the club. The managers and guards will be happy to point out this area to members who chose to smoke.
