The Senior/Community Center is located at One Memorial Drive in Montvale.

The membership in the Montvale Senior Club is available to current Montvale residents who are at least 55 years of age and former members who are now living elsewhere.

Individuals seeking to join the Senior Club should call (201-391-5700 ext 227) or email (montvaleseniors@gmail.com) to apply. If an opening is not immediately available the applicant will be placed on a waiting list. This list is reviewed quarterly with the intent of adding new members as soon as space permits.

Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of every month (except July and August) from 11:30 – 2:30. The first meeting is the Business Meeting and the second is the Social Meeting. Guest Speakers and various types of light entertainment are frequently scheduled.

Members who attend six or more Business meetings in the prior twelve month period get to enjoy two elegant lunches every year at an off site facility. Those members who have not attended the required number of meetings are welcome to attend, but they must pay for their meals until they reach the required six meetings. In addition to these off site luncheons, the Club has several on site luncheons throughout the year. In particular, one of the favorites is the annual Thanksgiving Luncheon that is hosted by the Montvale PBA.

The Club also offers numerous day and overnight trips to places of interest. These trips are first offered to club members and then opened up to other senior clubs in the area as space permits.

The Club has several scheduled activities such as canasta, a book discussion Club, a monthly Pizza and Bingo evening, a fitness room, Bocce, Tai Chi, Mah Jongg, chair exercise/yoga classes that meet three times a week, along with several other recreational programs.

Membership dues are $20.00 per year and members contribute $2.00 each Business meeting for refreshments consisting of snacks, coffee and tea.

A Senior Exercise Room is located at the Montvale Senior Center. Members must be at minimum of 55 years of age. Available equipment consists of treadmills, stationary bicycles, an elliptical trainers and a rowing machine.

Initial hours of operation will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 AM until Noon. Seniors who are interested in using the exercise equipment during these  hours should come to the Senior Center on one of these days to register. 

The cost of registration for access to the Exercise Room will be $40 per calendar year for Residents and $45 for Non-Residents. The cost is reduced to half price for new registrants after June 30.

The registration fees will be used for equipment maintenance and the acquisition of replacement equipment.
